Over the course of several years in the mid 1970’s Ewald provided an audio history of his life.

D.3 I Need Thee Every Hour

I Need Thee Every Hour was one of Ewald’s favorite songs. He had a good singing voice and enjoyed music even though he had no formal music training. He would sing in choirs and was also a self-taught harmonica player. While the audio quality is somewhat poor, you can hear his love of music in the following recording.
